This is where you can find all the dirt on bands, compilations and even our 'friends'. Be sure to check back cuz we're planning to release a sh#t load of new music soon! Also, check out the "Breeding Grounds Artists" which are bands that are coming out of nowhere to take over this noisy planet!

So here's the dirt on Vains of Jenna. I was in LA finishing Jackass 2 and my buddy Mark Weiss (legendary rock photographer) saw the Vains walking on Sunset while having lunch at the Rainbow. Mark liked their look and said he wanted to shoot them. Mark drug me to their show that night and they blew me away! I instantly knew I had to start a label!
They are from a tiny sh#tbag town in Sweden called Falkenberg where nothing cool happens. They recorded a record in a cabin in the f#cking mountains on a computer that Lizzy Devine bought with a loan!!! He was working at McD's and then as a driving instructor to pay it off! Once they got a mix on Myspace the organizers of Cruefest at the Roxy in LA asked them to play. Then they borrowed money from their parents to fly to LA where they landed late, took a cab to the show (with no gear because customs wouldn't let them take ‘em!) and they played the show. Stevie Rachelle (sings for Tuff, an 80's metal band that killed it) saw them and started booking them more shows. He got Gilbey Clarke (GnR guitarist) to record 2 songs and they played an east coast tour this summer.
Once I saw them I put Glomb on the mish to get the label up and their record out! He managed bands in the 90's and toured with Motley Crue, Type O Negative and Everclear before Viva La Bam… he knows his music sh#t! Now I'm looking for bands to sign and Glumgloom is running the show. If you want more Vains info check out our "FilthyVideo Player" or www.vainsofjenna.com.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... we all know that free BAM crap is cool... We were working on it and thought, screw that, YOU WORK ON IT! We want you to rip, steal and recreate bam's name, face and the Filthy Note logo (which is available in the photo section at www.myspace.com/filthynote) and make your own banners, wallpapers, emoticons, etc... The time is now! Get involved.
Facebook, Myspace, other websites!!! Email us the finished art, and links to where you posted it (Myspace, facebook, etc..) and the best ones will get some free gear!
Email us your info, and art, to info@filthynote.com. Spread the FILTHY WORD!
Yo, Bam Margera here to explain the Filthy Note story; I started this record label so you can hear music that I f#cking love! The CKY videos were fun because I put all of CKY's song in them. Then I heard HIM and thought “these guys are Bon Jovi on crack” and loved ‘em. We shot HIM's music videos, then some for Clutch, Turbonegro, and of course, CKY. Gnarkill was a great project and Jess also put out Foreign Objects.
It just made sense to start Filthy Note so I can sign bands and get their CDs into your hands! Viva La Bands was a great compilation (Volume 2 should be out in March '07) but Filthy Note will let us put out full albums for my favorite bands.
Vains of Jenna is the first CD and it hits the streets in the US on October 24th (Glomb says the rest of the world early '07). I saw these guys in LA in July and immediately knew they had to be signed! Only problem is I didn't have a label! One call to Glomb took care of that. A month later we have Filthy Note up and running with this site, a page at www.myspace.com/filthynote and a record coming out Oct 24th! We'll be making T shirts and cool ass other merch too!
Keep checking back for news, videos and new bands. We'll also have info on our friends bands that aren't on Filthy Note. Bands like CKY, HIM, Turbonegro, Fireball Ministry, GWAR, 69 Eyes, and others. Late, -BAM
You got a band? We got a label.
Send us your filthy submissions. Make your music play on a CD and mail it to us.
Got a DVD? Even better
You can also email us love or hate mail at info@filthynote.com, but don't expect a response. Do you know how many emails we get???? Best way to grab our attention is to make us your friend and comment on www.myspace.com/filthynote. We love reading those things. Messaging us there takes forever too. The Myspace servers are slow as dirt! Now send those shirts, cds and other band swag to us!
